I am a huge fan of having a few emergency meals in the freezer, and one thing I really like to keep on hand is a pie. All you need do with a pie is turn on the oven and slip the pie onto a tray. Add a salad, or a few simple vegetables, and dinner is sorted. So easy, even My Grumpy can do it, which is exactly what happened this week when I was pressed into shopping with The Princess. Find a good store-bought variety and keep it in the freezer. You never know when it will come in handy.
