Real Food Meal Plan – Week 25

All about making life easier, this week’s Real Food Meal Plan includes slow cooker Mongolian Beef, spicy noodle soup, an easy sheet pan honey chicken dinner & a simple broccoli pasta.

Meal planning at this time of year is a difficult task.  I plan my meals according to the weather (Yes, I am aware this is a nerdy thing to do 🙂 ), and every Thursday night when I write my menu I take note of the temperature for the coming week.  Temperature becomes more important during summer as I don’t want to plan an oven-baked meal on a 40C day.  Unfortunately, the weather is a moving target this time of year, so I have to be a bit flexible and keep a few extra dishes up my sleeve.  The salad we ate on Thursday was actually destined for The Princess’s lunchbox, but the oven baked miso fish I originally planned no longer looked as appealing on a 36C day.  The upside to this though … guess what we are eating next week.

For those of you not struggling with my temperature issues, I bring you eight great recipes from my fellow bloggers that you can happily turn on the oven for; five mains and a few little extras to get you through the week.  Enjoy!

Spring Meal Ideas

Dinner this week was a mix of recipes that have yet to appear on the blog, and a few old favourites that I can make with my eyes closed.  As we move into the busiest part of the year, I am trying very hard to keep my meals as simple as possible.

This week we ate:

Sunday:  Chorizo & Spinach Gnocchi

Monday:  Lemon Tuna Pasta

Tuesday:  Spanish Chicken Traybake with Potatoes and Olives

Wednesday:  Slow Cooker Beef Tagine with Wholegrain Cous Cous

Thursday:  Roasted cauli-broc bowl with Tahini Houmous
