I heard this week that Perth is one of the sunniest cities in the world, with over 3000 hours of sunshine each year. Rainfall is big news here, so the fact that we have had rain almost every day for over a week now, with more to come over the weekend, has completely thrown me. I am struggling to get washing dry, and have had to dig out umbrellas and raincoats to go outside. The upside is that my meal plan was easy to write this week. I’ve stuffed it with soups, pasta and slow cooker meals that are great for the wet weather.

Sunday: Baked Gnocchi with Kale Pesto & Ham
Monday: Chicken Schnitzel, served with Easy Baked Sweet Potato Chips and Creamy Silverbeet Gratin.
Tuesday: Spaghetti & Baked Italian Meatballs. Keep an eye out for this recipe. It should be up in the next few weeks.
Wednesday: Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Creamy Herb Sauce, served with mashed potato and Fried Cabbage with Pancetta.
Thursday: Smoky & Flavoursome Pea & Ham Soup, served with crusty bread.
