This week’s menu is full of easy dinner ideas for kids.  Pull out the slow cooker for pineapple chicken and root beer pulled pork burgers, or light the grill for our easy carne asada.  Then finish off the meal with our delicious campfire monkey bread.  This menu is guaranteed to have them coming back for more.

Don’t ask me why, but I always feel just ever-so-slightly smug when I manage to put a few extra meals into the freezer.  Both the chili and the curry on my winter meal plan this week are huge meals, and so there will be lots of leftovers for freezing.  The chili is great on it’s own with some cornbread, and I will also freeze a smaller portion for serving over baked potatoes.  Three meals out of one pot is pretty good I think.

Our summer menu this week is full of easy dinner ideas for kids.  Try our pineapple chicken, root beer pulled pork burgers or some delicious campfire monkey bread.  Our menu is guaranteed to have them coming back for more.  Enjoy!

Winter Meal Plan

Sunday: Fusilli with Broccoli, Chili, Anchovies & Garlic

Monday: Pan fried fish, served with Mini Rosemary Roasted Potatoes and Creamy Silverbeet Gratin.

Tuesday: Chicken Tikka Masala, served with steamed basmati rice.

Wednesday: Oven Roasted Chilli with Hidden Vegetables, served with southern cornbread.

Thursday: Pumpkin, Cannellini & Tomato Soup, served with No Knead Irish Soda Bread.
